i returned back home yesterday from sapporo. i loved visiting with my parents and shannon and am not quite sure i was ready to come back after such a short time. i now fully appreciate all that they are doing, going through, and experiencing because i was able to see what they are dealing with. my parents both love serving as mission presidents. they love all the people they serve with, and more importantly, i could see that my parents were very loved and appreciated in return. i have always felt very close to my sister shannon so i loved being able to spend a lot of time with her (my parents went to korea for 4 days so the main purpose of my visit was to stay with shannon while they were gone). i am very impressed with my sister's good attitude and her outlook of her situation. this will be a big growing period for my parents and shannon, as i hope it is for all mission president families, and i am so proud of them.

eli and i got to sapporo on tuesday afternoon, which happened to be shannon's birthday. these next couple pictures are on our first night. we went out to dinner at capricciosa's which is definitely a daniels family favorite from back in japan.
on our way to dinner. and yes, i chopped off my hair

eli was definitely a trooper dealing with jet lag, but he just couldn't make it through all of dinner awake. and he looks huge.
this is on the corner of the street my fam lives on. the tori gate in the background is huge. seriously big.
my dad and i went to go get ramen at their favorite shop. miso for my dad, and shoyu for me.
one afternoon my parents and i went to play park golf. i wish they had this here in the states cause it is so fun. its pretty much mini golf on steroids. the balls are bigger, and you play with a club, and all the holes are par 3 or 4. eli stayed nice and warm back in the mission office with sister lay (a senior missionary). i am always hesitant to leave eli, but i knew she would enjoy this cause im sure she misses all her grandkids back at home, and it was way to cold to bring eli outside for 18 holes anyways!
that night we went with my mom to meet shannon to do a bit of birthday shopping.
us in zara.
my dad trying to get some work done
i dont like trying to manage a post with too many pictures...so i will post later with more pictures from my trip!

I seriously don't think that eli could get any cuter. I love him!
fun! i am loving reading the recaps (this post and the next one). your hair looks soooo good. you make me want to cut my hair even shorter! i didn't know sapporo was north japan. for some reason i had it in my mind that it was south. no wonder it was cold. looks pretty!
I love that last picture of dad and eli.
