before tanner and i moved to santa monica we lived in sandy, utah. although we had zero couples to hang with, we were close to family and loved our ward. in our ward we co-taught (which really means tanner taught almost every class while i sat back and listened) the 14-15 year old sunday school class. we loved our class, and i think they liked us (tanner) as their teachers too.
natalie (on the right) was in our class. she was so cute and super sweet. we then got to know her older sister (on the left) mandie, i never knew her super well, but thought she was awesome enough that i set her up on a date with my brother. i think he was probably too big of a dork for her, but i had high hopes for them : )
mandie unfortunately has cystic fibrosis. her original life expectancy given to her parents when she was born was 18. she is now 19 and her new life expectancy is 36. absolutely amazing. she is also trying to get a scholarship to go to school and it is based on how many votes you get. so if you could please take a minute to help her out, that would be awesome.

UPDATE: mandie got the scholarship! apparently she was behind but in the past few days got over 30,000 votes come in ... from team twilight. makes me proud of all those crazy twilight lovers! thanks for those of you who voted.
