after music makers yesterday, we went to target and got some pull ups, big boy "underwears", and cars flushable wipes. eli came home excited about his big boy diapers and got to wear them all day. he did tell me twice that he needed to go potty, but still peed plenty of times in his pull ups... so although he was doing alright, i knew he could do better than that.
so today he had a naked day. yep, no pants. no undies. no diaper. he did wear a shirt though. my friend sent me a link to use a method that she used with luck, and while at first i thought i would try pull ups for up to a week and see how he did and then do this method (which was much more for easing me into it than me being concerned with eli), after seeing how it went yesterday i decided to just go for it. so if your curious to what will be happening at our place the next two days... there will still be a 1/2 naked crazy boy running around (besides at bedtime...obviously... that would be a wet disaster).
so how did he do? here was his scoreboard for his first full day potty training...
potty: 10 (four of which were # twosies. yep, he poops a ton. and when he would flush it down he likes to say, "see ya poops!")
accidents: 1. it happened this morning while he was sitting on our couch. he came in (i was cleaning in the back) and told me. he helped me wipe it up and then sanitize it (good thing its a leather couch) and luckily it didnt happen again.
even though this whole potty training thing is still a little overwhelming to me, and im scared to go anywhere when the time comes where we need to go far from home, i'm glad i decided to do it now. i was putting it off and figured i would do it right when we got home from our paris trip, but he is so ready, and catches onto things really easily, so i'm glad we are doing it now. and since he only had one accident today, i'd say he is definitely ready.

You may have two naked boys tomorrow. Westin didn't want to wear his diaper this afternoon. I let him go commando for about an hour and then convinced him he needed to wear a diaper to go out. However, before we head to your place, I'll make sure he knows that he has to wear his diaper... no matter what ;)

only one accident! way to go Eli!
go eli!! its so nice once they are out of diapers!!! It sounds like he is doing great. Just make sure you stick with it which I know you will. The worst thing you can do is let him do this for a few days and then put him in pulls ups again (of course, its fine at night). I am so impressed with #2 though. I guess he goes so much that its no big deal but I had to bribe all my boys to go with pretty nice toys because they refused!!!
