isaac 18 month

i took isaac in for his 18 month appointment this morning (even though he's 19 months) and here are his stats -
weight: 24-8 pounds (35%)
height: 33 (75%)

my isaac boy is an amazing little stud. he is freakishly obsessed with football. like, he can say about 20 words now, but when he could only say half as many he was still saying "football", "football guy", and "football t" (for team). he constantly caries around a football with him and will hold one in the car. he will hold the football to the floor, say "hut!" then will run around the room and then pretend to be tackled while saying "oh no!". its a very funny sight. i knew he loved balls (its because of eli's basketball hoop for why isaac started standing/walking), but he's definitely extreme with his passion for football.

his hair situation is still business in the front...party in the back with his straight hair on the top and super curls in the back. pretty funny, but still very cute.

he is still the biggest cuddle bug and loves his binki. i've only let him have it in his crib since he was a year old (maybe a little younger) just to help with the eventual weaning of the bink, but he will always sneak his tiny, yet long, arms through his crib and pull out his binki and blanky then either lye on his floor with them, or walk around holding his blanket up to his face. when he can't reach his binki, he'll come bring me in his room, whine while he tries to climb into his crib until i put him in there so he can get his binki. he'll stay content in his crib for like 10-15 minutes with only the joy that his bink and blanket bring him. when we get back from utah for christmas its time to get him off it for good... which will definitely be interesting.

he is usually very sweet, and very active. he loves running around after his brother, playing football (and will tackle anyone, anywhere... so if you are around him be warned), basketball, playing with little cars or planes, and making roaring noises for every animal sound.

he's a great sleeper. and will sometimes bring us his blanket, then want us to follow him in his room... which is his way of telling us he's ready for bed. how great is that? he likes it when we "tuck him in" and thinks every time he stands up we need to do it over again. he's quite the climber and has been able to climb out of his crib for a few months now... which can make bedtime a little interesting some nights.

he's just starting to show signs of the wonderful "terrible 2" stage, although i think i can very confidently say that isaac wont be nearly as extreme as his big brother was, so i'm grateful for that. he's gone through two biting phases, which correlated to when he was teething. it still was never out of wanting to be mean, it usually happened after he hugs you... and then goes in for the kill with a smile on his face. unfortunately his cousin zoe, which he was obsessed with, was the target during thanksgiving. luckily after about a week he stopped and hasn't had any issues since. whats funny is he thinks he should ask me about it, saying "bite mama?" before he's going to do it. so now he thinks its funny dialogue when he asks and then i always respond with "no bite mama"... and he will say it over and over and over again.

isaac is such a joy and sweetheart. i definitely love his boy!!
