on isaac's actual birthday, april 23rd, the boys got to spend the morning in target picking out toys. i knew they'd think this was cool... but i had no idea just how many "oh my gosh! mom! look at this!" i was about to hear. isaac picked himself out a motorcycle. eli picked him out a little optimus prime transformer (which eli wanted to later pretend that it was only his present... and not isaac's), and i bought them both these transformers masks cause they loved them so much.
after target and lunch, tanner came home early and we went down to disneyland for a few hours.
on the monorail. isaac was flirting with a couple girls.
isaac got to go see one of his favorite people ever: mickey mouse (who he used to call "mic-ka").
eli doesn't like to see the disney characters dressed up... it totally freaks him out. so while tanner took isaac in to see mickey, i took eli on the little toon town roller coaster. apparently isaac went crazy when he saw mickey. he flung himself at him and kept giving him hugs, high-fives, and honking his nose. at disneyland there are photographers set up in places to take peoples pictures for them (they give you a card you can access the pictures online). anyways, there is one for mickey and tanner said he took at least 30 pictures of isaac with mickey (when usually they take one or two). then the photog asked tanner if he gives his consent for disney to possibly use one of those pictures for promotional reasons. tanner said yes. and they said they would notify us if they end up using one of them. so we'll see. isaac just couldn't control his excitement and love for mickey.

i took isaac on the winnie the pooh ride while tanner and eli went on splash mountain. he is wearing his birthday shirt that is still too big for him... oh well. its cute anyways.

that evening we changed the boys in the car and they fell asleep on our way home. isaac had no idea what was going on and had no concept that it was a special day just for him. but if you ask him how old he is, he'll respond correctly by saying "two" and now always tries to sing the happy birthday song... but he doesn't really know any of the words (but considering there are only like 5 words in that song i'll bet he'll catch on soon : ).

SO adorable! I love the mickey thing! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you and Jor need to get your kids modeling.
I love his obsession with mickey, I'll keep that in mind for the future.
Happy birthday to the sweetest boy ever! He definitely loves characters. At the byu easter egg hunt, he LOVED cosmo and the easter bunny while Eli stayed as far away as he could :) The transformer masks will be well used and letting him spend time in the toy isle at target seems like the best birthday present he could have.
how did our babies get big so fast?? I feel like you were just texting me that you were on a walk to get your contractions more regular and then getting the text you were at the hospital and then 2 hours later, hearing that he was here.
Isaac is a lucky little man to be born into such an amazing family!

i know i said girls clothes are cuter than boy clothes, but i think i was wrong. the striped cardigan over plaid shirt that isaac is wearing? just adorable.
