general conference weekend

 

 

i hope everyone had a great general conference weekend. unlike last general conference i didnt get a picture with eli (who i think looks the same, just older) and president monson, but unlike last time we actually got it on tv so we were pretty happy about that. we broke up the two sessions on saturday with a trip to the park. we picked up subway on the way there and let eli enjoy the swing before we left. 

its hard to beat a big dose of spiritual nourishment with some fun in the sun.

we went to in-n-out for some yummy lunch in between sessions on saturday, so this is of eli while we are anxiously awaiting our food. my food = his food, right?

you may think these next pictures are a little odd, but i wanted eli to know what his first prophet, president monson, looked like at his first general conference. eli kept looking at him, i thought it was pretty cute.



i wish i could say going to the beach on sunday's for the sunset is a tradition, but we've only done it twice, so its not...yet. but last sunday we did and had a lot of fun. it seems like we always see interesting things at the beach, the most recent being a man which was handcuffed getting forced into one of the many police cars, a really messed up car with part of a palm tree sticking out the front, and plenty of spectators. i always wonder what the story is behind scenes like that. oh well, at least we had a nice, peaceful time.
